This is the place for you. Your time is now let's get to it. Welcome. Welcome back to another episode here on spirituals. Shit. You need to know the podcast. I am your host, Regis Cowan. And today we are diving into part three of creating your 2020 vision. And today's episode is all about finding your core desired feelings. So before we can even jump into creating those new goals and how we're gonna map, um, out before we dive into that, the first thing you need to know is what your core desired feelings are. And this is a new way of feeling into your goals and what it is you want to achieve in the new year, besides the old school logical way of just jotting down a bunch of goals and how you gonna go about it to get it done right? That's a logical way of doing it. But in the feminine way, we're going to figure out how it is you want to feel after you accomplish these goals. So instead of more so chasing the goal, you're chasing the feeling because in the law of attraction, it's the emotion. It's the feeling that attract certain things to your life and makes certain things manifest. So you've got to create that emotion. And in order to create that emotion, you need to know what your core desired feelings are. So we're gonna talk about all that today, how you find those feelings in what life areas they affect. So where did this concept of core desired feelings come from? Well, you may have heard me say in some previous episodes that I got this from the Desire map by Danielle Reports, and I started reading this book a couple years ago about how you should really create your goals based off of how you want to feel, Um, And then I met my business coach or my first coach, which is Mona Lisa on the Via. And she based her entire business. Her coaching clients around this philosophy of the desire Matt By Daniel REPORT. So it's all about creating your goals with soul, finding those core desired feelings and why you should create goals based off of your emotions. So it came from the book, The Desire met by Daniel Report. You can get it on Amazon. You can buy it in, um, any major bookstore. This is one of the books that was like a game changer for me when it came to creating my goals. And one of the main reasons that this works is because of Danielle Story. Like so many other women, we have this lofty goal. We have this vision that we think we want something, and when we get it, it's not what we expected or we don't feel happy or we don't feel for field. You know, I thought that this car was going to make me feel this way or this house or this partner or even a career or a job. And then once you get it, and you really get into the nitty gritty. You're like, Well, shit, this isn't what I thought it was. This is not what I want. I can go back to my old life of this because this is not where he said this is for the birds. So she was having some life awakening moments like that. You know, she just wasn't happy with her life. Things weren't going the way she wanted it to, um, not to tell the whole book. Some of you have read it. Some of you have it, but she wanted to make some changes in her life. And it started with this whole tradition of doing New Year's resolutions, right? And so she decided that she wanted to kind of do something different. Why was it that she was creating these goals and she was accomplishing them, But she still wasn't happy. And it was because she didn't have that feeling of happiness or that feeling of joy behind those goals. So she started writing out. You know how to create these new feelings based off of our goals and how we want to feel when we accomplish them. And she came up with the desire map and coming up with the core desired feelings. So let's dive into what the corps desired. Feelings are how you find them in what life areas they effect. And before I dive too deep into this topic, um, just a reminder that all of this is in the Facebook group. There will be a worksheet to go with this episode as well. Using your court is our feelings. Um, but I'm gonna create something special just for you in the Facebook group that you can download to follow along with this episode. So if you haven't joined the Facebook group, go join. What are you waiting for? There's exclusive content there for you and follow along with this episode. Okay, so let's talk about quarters, our feelings and how you want to feel. So the first thing I like to do is to break down all of the areas of your life the major life areas that you have golden and that you want to accomplish. So, for instance, the first, um, area is your livelihood in your lifestyle. And again, if you want, you can come up with your own five areas, your own lifestyle, areas that you want to focus on. But these really kind of, you know, hit the nail on the head if you follow along and go through these life areas that we already kind of have laid out for you. So when we talk about livelihood in lifestyle, the things that this area effects have to do with your career, your money, work home, your space, your style, possessions, gifts. Um, fashion travel in any resource is in your life. So that's your livelihood in your lifestyle, pretty much the bulk of what makes your life tick. Then our next area is body and wellness. This area has to do with healing health, fitness, mental health, food rest and relax ation, sensuality, movement, anything that's going to get your body and your health and wellness together. That's the body and wellness life area. Our third area is creativity and learning, which this area has to do with your artistic and self expression, your hobbies, education, interests, anything that's of like higher learning or something that you want to be creative in. That's your creativity and learning area. Our fourth area is the relationships and society, and we kind of group this together because in society you're gonna be relationships as well as romantic relationships, family friendships. Um, any type of communities that you may join causes collaborations that is going to be your relationships and society life area, and then our last and final area is your essence and spirituality. So this area has to do with your religion, your faith, different practices or intuition, your inner self, your soul, your truth, any of those things that affect you down to the core is going to be your essence and spirituality. What moves you that's gonna be that life area. So again, the five life areas are and you can write these down or you can download the worksheet in the Facebook group is the livelihood and lifestyle area body and wellness, creativity and learning, relationships and society. And the last one is essence in spirituality. So those are the five life areas that we are going to focus on and come up with your core desire feelings for each of those life areas. Once we come up with those five core desire feelings for the life areas, then you are going to take those feelings and apply them to your goals and your accomplishments for 2020. So what I'm going to do is kind of give you an example of how you're going to do this based off of one of the five life areas. So let's say your lifestyle and livelihood the first area. So what I like to do is take a sheet of paper. It could be anything, or you can put it on your phone on your journal. Wherever you are doing this activity, you're going to make a list of words that remind you of that life area and not just anywhere. Words that move you, words that make you feel good when it comes to thinking about your livelihood in your lifestyle. So again, this area focuses on career money, work, home possessions, fashion, travel resource is things like that. So my word for my livelihood in lifestyle is prosperous. Whenever I hear the where prosperity or being prosperous, it just kind of invokes this abundance feeling in me. And so any activity that has to do with helping me feel that way, that's what I'm gonna gravitate toward. So let's say, for instance, in business or in work, I only want to do work, and I only want to do business with people or with ideas and things that make me feel prosperous. So is this going to quote unquote add to my bank accounts? Right. Is this something I am passionate about and feel deep about? His house is going to affect my work. My home, my possessions doesn't make me feel rich. Rich is another word that I like. Does it make me feel wealthy? And so I come up with all these words and you're gonna write down whatever comes to your mind. Um, also, if you're in the Facebook group, I'm gonna give you a list of words, just in case you need a little brainstorming or you need some prompts. I'm gonna put a list of words in there, and you can kind of go through that list and see what kind of sparks your attention and what jumps out at you. So, for instance, like I said, with my livelihood and last night, I like to think of the word prosperous before I got to that one specific word I did have those other words as rich and wealthy and abundant abundance. Those are words that make me feel, you know, like I am prosperous or like my livelihood. And my lifestyle is just on point. So I wrote down all these words, and what you're gonna do is circle the words that kind of have the same meaning, right? So it's kind of like mind mapping. That's why it's called desire mapping. And this is how you get down to your one core desire feeling. So I took the words rich and abundance, um, and wealthy and I put all those together and I kind of decided, Well, what is the one word that kind of describes all of this That really hits me to the core hit hit Cortazar feeling, and that was prosperous. So all those words kind of round up to being prosperous in those areas of my life. So that was my word for the loudly hidden lifestyle. So I want you to go and do this exercise for each of the life areas and figure out what it is that you want to feel in those areas, right? What is it that you need to feel for the body and wellness? Do you want to feel healthy? Do you want to feel rested? Do you want to be relaxed? Um, what word really resonates with you and again? Make a list of all these words and then kind of scratch out the ones that don't really do it for you anymore. And then kind of group certain words together like words and come up with that one word that really hits you to the core. And that is going to describe that life area and what you want to feel for that life area. So again, do this for all five areas. Livelihood in lifestyle, body and wellness, creativity and learning, essence and spirituality and your relationships and society. So once you go into the Facebook group, you'll be able to download the worksheet as well as the words to kind of prompt you of what you're looking for and, you know, take some time and make this like a ritual. You know, I like to make everything a ritual. Um, I'm going to get my favorite snack or a cup of tea coffee, get my journal out or no pad. Get some pretty pins like some candles. You know, I love my central oil, so I have to have those two just really ground in this exercise and figure out what it is that I want to feel. And so let's see if I can remember my core desire feelings off the top of my head. Um, I told you, my livelihood in lifestyle is feeling prosperous. Um, my relationships in society where it is connected again, that's your romance, friendships, family, community causes. I really need to feel connected in order to feel good and make goals in that area, my body and wellness. Ah, my word is nourished if I don't feel nourished. And I came up with other words like energized, healthy, holistic. But ultimately I want to feel nourished when I feel nourished than I have energy. But if I don't feel that nourishment, whether it be from food, rest, sleep or whatever it is, then it's like I can't function at all for anything I do in that area of life has to make me feel nourished. My creativity and my learning definitely, definitely have to be passionate about it. That's my word for that life area. If I am passionate about it, I ain't doing it. If it doesn't spark something in me, I'm not doing it. If it's a goal or something that somebody says, Hey, you should try this or do that And if it just doesn't give me that instant spark or if I don't feel super passionate about it, I ain't doing it. That's how I feel and I'm sticking to it. Okay, So passionate is my word for my creativity in learning area and then last but not least, my essence and spirituality. Word is I go back and forth between holistic and connected. And I think ultimately I decided on connected. So I have that were for my relationships and society as well as my essence and spirituality, because ultimately I need to feel a sense of connectedness to spirit, to God, to the universe. And whenever I feel that in my essence, in my spirituality area, I feel like everything else will fall into place the way it's supposed to be. But I have to have that personal and spiritually connection in order to thrive in any of these other life areas. So that's just an example of my five core desire feelings. I use those words. They come up all the time. Whenever I get ready to make a decision. I do like to plan out my goals that I have for the year and then use your core desire feelings to guide you on what steps you need to take next, what actions you need to take. So, for instance, paying off debt helps me feel prosperous. And so how am I gonna go about doing that? And that's when I kind of map out what we can desire mapping, how I'm going to create that goal. What steps actually make me feel prosperous again? If it don't feel good to me, I'm not doing it. I've learned from the past to trust my gut, trust my intuition and to listen to those core desire feelings. So if I don't feel prosperous, passionate, um, connected or nourished in any of my decisions that are making I don't do it. And this I have done for the past three years has helped me immensely help me to make decisions when I feel like I can't figure out what step I need to do next, I kind of just go into my gut and feel like, Well, how does this make me feel? Does this go with my core desire feeling? And that gives me my instant, yes or no? So that's why I want to share this with you of how you come up with your core desire feelings. Um, take this exercise seriously. Make it a ritual if you want to. You don't have to do it all in one sitting or all in one day. You can come back to it and do it later. You know, do one life area and come back into another one or if you like me and you just want a hash it out and sit there and make it a ritual, um, taken our two hours. Whatever you need to do, meditate first. Pray first, um, then definitely do that. I like to make everything a ritual. It's super fun. And then when you come up with those core desire feelings, if you want to write them out on a sticky note and put them on your mirror or use a dry erase marker on your mirror, or if you have a bulletin board or vision board, you can post those five core desire feelings up in each of those life areas again. I'm gonna have some worksheets for all of this stuff in the Facebook group that you can download. You can put him out, cut him out, make him look pretty post. Um, wherever you are, posting your vision up for 2020 and it's going to just help you stay focused and remember what it is you want to feel in each of those life areas. So now you know how to find your five core desire feelings. We went through the five life areas um, if you want to come up with your own life areas or something that resonates more with you, if you don't want to call your livelihood and lifestyle area that you can name it whatever you want. Whatever feels good to you do that because thes air, words and things that are going to have to resonate with you so that when you see them, it's going to invoke some type of emotion in you. It's gonna help you stay on track with your goals and how you want to feel when you accomplish those goals.
